Additional spaces include a medical clinic, housing for stray dogs & cats, and meeting rooms for staff.

With entrances to the Animal Service and Adoption reception areas houses a multipurpose room utilized by staff and the general public for training classes, seminars, and after hours events.

The building is comprised of linear masses oriented east/west. The cedar mass at the north houses’ adoption, animal services & clinic functions. While the standing seam mass to the south houses’ animals, support spaces and the multipurpose room. The low slope roof provides ample space for photovoltaic array to supplement energy use and skylights throughout to add natural light to interior spaces.
